Page 3 of 8 The latest Newspoll is out, showing Labor ahead 56-44 on two party preferred terms. The respective primaries are 48/39 in Labor's favour. Also, don't forget to check out Aristotle's latest polling summary updated with this latest poll. First up we have the two party preferred standard graph for the year since February. The dashed lines are a 3-period moving average overlaid. Looking at this graph, it appears that the 2pp vote has been quite flat since mid-June, aside from that spike in early September which set off the leadership speculation.
Next up we have the two party preferred results averaged per month. This month looks about the same state of affairs as things were back in February.
The next graph is averaged monthly primary polling data. This graph again shows us that the current state of the polls is about what they were in February, with the Coalition at their best primary vote all year..
Finally, this is a preferred PM graph. Overlaid are the primary votes for the respective parties. It is interesting to see how they track the PPM vote.
If you are interested in seeing more polling data, the latest Monthly averaged polls (including all pollsters) can be found here. The latest Weekly Roundup (of media / political events) is here. Finally, I've just written an article exploring the concept of a spending spree by the Coalition, entitled $22,000 Reasons to Vote Liberal. - JJ Views: 1469
