Here at Fair News we recognise that news can never really be unbiased. The writer always has a personal opinion and it is impossible to be totally objective. Thus, we do not pretend to be objective in our reporting of the news. What we seek to do is reveal the truth, whatever that may be. We will not omit certain stories because they are detrimental to one political 'side'.

What we will do is hold the mainstream Australian media to account for their bias. Unlike the mainstream press, we will not seek to mislead readers through subversive means.

This is predominantly a left-leaning news site, make no mistake. However, we are also always happy to hear opposing views, as long as they are logically and rationally argued, without resorting to personal attack or derision. We are also willing to publish articles by right-wing contributors (as long as they meet the aforementioned rules)

Coming Soon -  all items on this site will contain a short bio of the poster, including their political views, so that you are aware of the writer's views.

Thus, this site will be as "fair" as a news site can be. We are commited to total transparency at every level.

The criteria for articles to be published on this site are very broad - with the only restriction being that the piece must not resort to racism, sexism or defamation.
