| Written by Scotty, on 19-11-2007 08:19 Agreed, Neilsen is the preferred. However, Newspoll was the only pollster who: 1. Goes all the way back to 1993 with pre-election polling, and 2. Gives state-by-state breakdowns If I used Neilsen, I'd have had to estimate the state 2PP, which would have introduced more variables than I would have liked. Newspoll haven't been too bad, though. An average of 0.75% overestimation of the ALP vote in each of the last four elections. Watch tomorrow's Newspoll and we'll have a good idea of where the final vote will be on Saturday. |
